Area Sales Manager - Central Texas

Role Overview:

As Area Manager, the individual will play a pivotal role in overseeing and expanding our market presence within the San Antonio, Austin and El Paso areas. The primary focus will be to manage relationships with distributors, drive sales, and implement strategies to promote our artisan-crafted tequila portfolio. This role requires a dynamic individual with a deep understanding of the beverage industry, strong leadership skills, and a knack for fostering successful partnerships.

Responsibilities:

Distribution Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with distributors in assigned areas.
  • Collaborate with distributors to ensure optimal product placement, inventory management, and promotion of our tequila products.

Sales and Performance:

  • Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs within the designated region.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Implement effective strategies to increase brand visibility and market share.

Training and Support:

  • Conduct training sessions and seminars for distributor sales teams to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Provide ongoing support, guidance, and resources to ensure distributor success in promoting our tequila brands.

Market Expansion:

  • Identify and evaluate potential new markets and opportunities for expansion.
  • Develop and execute market penetration strategies to introduce our products in new territories.

Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, retailers, and industry influencers.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and tastings to promote brand awareness and build connections.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a similar role within the beverage/alcohol industry.
  • Deep understanding of distribution channels, sales strategies, and market dynamics.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region.
  • Passion for artisanal spirits and a genuine interest in promoting premium tequila products.
